CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming Medical Center has agreed to pay $2.7 million to settle a whistleblower lawsuit that alleged it made fraudulent Medicare claims.

The Casper hospital said there was no improper intent in any billing errors, and it has made changes to strengthen its billing processes.

The federal government and Gale Bryden, who filed the lawsuit, will receive money from the settlement.
