The cream always rises to the top, and when it comes to the latest coaches/media rankings, the cream has been on top for most of the season.

This could be an interesting week in 4A, as 4 of the top 5 teams play each other. It's a chance for the lower ranked teams to spring a surprise and improve their position in the playoff bracket. Natrona and Laramie tie for the #4 ranking, and host the top 2 ranked teams. #1 Gillette visit the Plainsmen who have been on a roll lately, while #2 Sheridan is at Natrona. That leaves #3 Rock Springs, to entertain Cheyenne South this weekend.

One week after being removed from the 3A top spot, Star Valley has regained it. The Braves recovered from their loss to knock Green River down a couple of notches. Douglas is still #2, not far behind the Braves. The Bearcats can secure the East #1 seed for the playoffs with a win this weekend at Riverton, but that maybe easier said than done. Despite their 2-4 record, in the last 3 games, the Wolverines have realized that they have an offense. Elsewhere, Powell and Torrington maintain the #4 and #5 rankings this week.

2A suffered a shake-up based on last week's results, and there's still some jockeying going on for playoff spots. Glenrock is now the unanimous #1 team, and has secured the East #1 seed, with 2 games to go. Big Horn is now up to #2. Mountain View took Greybull down to the wire, and took down their previously undefeated opponent. Now #3 MV is in the driver's seat in the west and can wrap up the top spot this week. Greybull falls all the way to #4 and has another tough game on their hands with #5 Pinedale coming to town this week.

The top 2 teams in 1A, can't look past this weeks' opponents. The big clash is still ahead for unanimous #1 Upton-Sundance and #2 Tongue River, but both must be patient. TR has a big enough task, hosting #3 Pine Bluffs this week. Shoshoni's win over Rocky Mountain got the voters attention to put the Wranglers in the top 5, but they didn't put them ahead of the Grizzlies, which may have some people scratching their heads.

It's still close on top of the 6-Man rankings. Kaycee gets the #1 ranking by 1 vote ahead of #2 Farson-Eden. The defending champ Buckaroos currently boast the longest win streak of any team in any class at 15, and can secure the East #1 seed for the playoffs with a win this weekend. The game of interest is in the  the West as #3 Burlington visits #4 Little Snake River. The outcome could either clear up some playoff scenarios, and create more confusion. Meeteetse is just barely hanging in the top 5 this week at #5.
