That time of the season has come, where the coaches/media rankings no longer matter, and the teams will ultimately decide which is really #1.

The final rankings for 2A and 1A was last week.

These are the final rankings for 4A and 3A.

Despite their surprise loss to unranked Laramie last week, Cheyenne Central finished the regular season ranked #1 in boys 4A, however #2 Gillette managed to close the gap. The Indians, and the Camels will play at the East Regional Tournament, along with #5 Cheyenne East, who plays a do-or-die game with now ranked Cheyenne South. The Bison were ranked #1, about 7 weeks ago, and have now fallen out of the rankings. #3 Rock Springs and #4 Kelly Walsh are the top 2 teams heading into the west regional tournament. It turns out that Evanston's forfeit 4 weeks ago, came back to haunt, and that cost the Red Devils the automatic bid to the state tournament. Now they have to play their way in.

The final boys 3A rankings are unchanged from last week. Worland is the unanimous #1, heading into the east regional tournament at Glenrock. #2 Buffalo and #3 Douglas will be there as well. In fact the Warriors and the Bison could meet in the semi-finals, because Buffalo lost the tie-breaker with Douglas. As a result the Bearcats ended up on the opposite side of the bracket from Worland. In the west, #4 Cody and #5 Star Valley look to be the teams to beat in Afton at the west regional tournament.

Both the 4A and 3A girls final rankings are unchanged from last week. For 4A, it's Natrona, Gillette, Cheyenne East, Sheridan and Rock Springs in that order. The middle 3 teams will play in Cheyenne this weekend, while the other 2 will be in Casper.

The final 3A girls rankings have Worland at #1, followed by Newcastle, Star Valley, Mountain View and Powell, heading into their respective regional tournaments.
