A community organization in southeast Wyoming is looking for volunteers to assist with work days on the Pole Mountain Unit of the Medicine Bow National Forest on May 5.

The Colorado-Wyoming region of the American Red Cross has sent 32 volunteers to Texas to help the victims of Tropical Storm Harvey, a spokesman said today. Director of the Youth Volunteer Program George Geyer says he and his coordinators first began seeking applicants to the program in January.

Residents who want to participate should have their tree on the curb and ready for pickup by 9 a.m.

WYDOT says in past Spring Clean Flings, volunteers have removed over 50 tons of litter from along Wyoming highways.
