Text messaging dominates communication today, with nearly 40% of smartphone users favoring it. However, the reliance on abbreviations can lead to misunderstandings and confusion.

The current technology only allows 160 character texts. Texters cannot use emojis, pictures, videos, or other file attachments in their messages.
