The 2015 State Summer Special Olympics Games are underway in Laramie. Around 650 athletes, 270 coaches, and hundreds of volunteers are making the event possible.
The annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser will be back at the Laramie High School Cafeteria on Thursday for Laramie Special Olympics. Athletes will help serve the dinner and be present to meet and greet with all who attend.
Special Olympics Wyoming is celebrating 40 years during the 2012 Summer Games in Laramie. At the Opening Ceremonies three athletes, John Patton, Donald Graham and Ron Fawcett, were honored for their participation in Special Olympics Wyoming since it began in 1972.
Athletes from across the state of Wyoming have gathered in Laramie to compete in the 2011 Wyoming Special Olympic Games. Over 600 athletes will be competing in a variety of athletic events this weekend including basketball, aquatics, power lifting, gymnastics as well as track and field.

Wyoming’s most adventurous are jumping into icy waters on March 5th to raise money for Special Olympics Wyoming and our local Laramie SO program. Registrations starts at 10am, jump is at 11am, and there will be a post party at the Elks at noon. The event takes place at Huck Finn Pond at LaPrelle Park.
