Red Flag Warning

The watch, which the NWS says will likely be upgraded to a Red Flag Warning over the coming hours, is in effect from noon to 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Red Flag Warning for portions of southeast Wyoming and the southwestern Nebraska Panhandle.

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for portions of southeast Wyoming from 11 a.m. this morning to 7 p.m. this evening.

Southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle won't be seeing any relief from the hot, dry weather anytime soon.

Strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures will make for critical fire conditions in portions of southeast Wyoming today.

Both Cheyenne and Laramie are included in the warning area.

Critical fire danger for many areas is expected again tomorrow [Aug. 25].

Critical fire weather is occurring in much of the Cowboy State, the National Weather Service announced Monday evening.
