A 31-year-old Cheyenne man is facing felony charges after agents reportedly found drugs in his house.

Cheyenne police saw a 133% increase in overdose-related deaths between 2020 and 2021, according to an annual report released Wednesday.

An alleged drug dealer who was busted in Laramie County this summer has pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.

Between 2014 and 2016, Wyoming averaged 42 overdose deaths from opioids.

The trial of Shakeel Kahn and other defendants is scheduled to start in late April.
