Thanks to a generous financial pledge from several UW athletics supporters, the University of Wyoming wrestling program will begin a project to significantly renovate its facilities.
Three more prep student-athletes will join the Cowboy Wrestling program, the University of Wyoming coaching staff announced Tuesday. The newcomers include Archibald Colgan of Westminster, Colorado, Eric Hoffman of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, and Luke Paine of Billings, Montana.
Despite posting one of the biggest match wins of the season, the University of Wyoming wrestling team lost a tough conference dual to North Dakota State on Sunday, 22-15. In a ceremony preceding the dual, seniors McCade Ford, Kasey Garnhart, L.J. Helbig, Alfonso Hernandez and Michael Poulos were recognized for their contributions and hard work.

Junior Joe LeBlanc became Wyoming’s third three-time All-American with a 4-0 record on Friday at the 2011 NCAA Wrestling Championships in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center and junior Shane Onufer earned his first All-America accolade by going 2-1.
Junior Shane Onufer posted a 2-0 record on Thursday to pace the six Cowboy wrestlers representing the University of Wyoming at the 2011 NCAA Championships.
