Cowboy basketball coach Larry Shyatt finished off the 2012-13 recruiting class on Wednesday when Derek Cooke signed a National Letter of Intent to play at the University of Wyoming. The 6'9" forward will transfer to UW from Cloud County Community College and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

A "piece of the future" was added to the University of Wyoming men's basketball team on Monday when head coach Larry Shyatt announced the signing of Shakir Smith. The six-foot-two shooting guard from Tucson, Arizona impressed the Cowboy coaching staff during AAU tournaments this summer and takes the last scholarship Wyoming had available.

University of Wyoming head men's basketball coach Larry Shyatt has signed his fifth recruit in Larry Nance Jr. to complete his first recruiting class.  The 6'7", 205 lb. wing from Richfield, Ohio averaged 18.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, 2.6 steal and 2.3 assists per game.
