Laramie High School’s tennis season is underway, and this year’s squad is opposite from a year ago.

It’s back to school time again, and that means it’s also time to prepare for the upcoming high school fall sports season.

Abby Kersey and Kayla Vasquez didn’t drop a set and won the girls’ No. 3 doubles state championship on Saturday in Gillette.

The Wyoming high state tennis tournament concluded on Saturday. Tennis teams from across the state competed to become state champions.

If you missed it, Laramie has a state golf champion. Junior Jackson McClaren won the 4A Boys title on Saturday in Casper.

Wyoming State tennis is set to play this weekend. Gillette is the host of the tournament this year. It will be a three-day event starting on Thursday and ending on Saturday.

Lady Plainsmen volleyball remains undefeated on the season, and it was an overall good weekend for LHS sports teams in action late, last week.

Laramie High School’s tennis teams present a bit of a dichotomy, as one team is experienced, while the other is going through a bit of a youth movement in 2020.
