Members of Laramie Main Street, the Laramie Chamber Business Alliance, and the Laramie City Council reached out to encourage Laramie residents to shop local.
The Laramie Chamber Business Alliance plans on recouping $695,000 in lease payments from Bright Agrotech, and will put those funds toward future economic development opportunities.
A Laramie fixture for over two years, Niko Sushi and Steak employs a staff of 11 employees, including six waitstaff and five cooks, made up in part by University of Wyoming students.
DOWL of Laramie is also the project manager, project engineer and owner’s representative for major maintenance projects of Albany County School District No. 1.
Program Director Katie Hogarty says the organization only operates in Wyoming, but is recognized as one of the top ten programs nationwide for moving families out of poverty.
