Wyoming head coach Mark Branch announced Wednesday that red-shirt freshman wrestler Tanner Harms will miss the remainder of the 2012-13 wrestling season due to a hamstring injury.

Leonard Washington posted his fifth double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds, and that led the Wyoming Cowboys to a 56-40 victory over the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos Friday night at the Arena-Auditorium. Washington scored the first 8 points of the second half, and UW used a 20-4 run to break open a 6-point game midway through the second half.

University of Wyoming head football coach Dave Christensen announced the signing of three junior-college players to national letters of intent on Wednesday, which was the first day mid-year, junior-college transfers could sign letters of intent. The three new Cowboys are Malkaam Muhammad a linebacker from Iowa Western Community College, Jesse Sampson, a safety from College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, CA and Jordan Stanton, a linebacker from Los Angeles Pierce College of California. The three will all join the Cowboy Football program for the 2013 spring semester.
Behind career-high scoring nights from Luke Martinez and Larry Nance, Jr., the Wyoming Cowboys stayed undefeated on the season with a 71-61 victory over the Denver Pioneers Tuesday night at the Arena-Auditorium. Martinez knocked down five 3-pointers en route to 25 points, while Nance scored 21 points, which included an 11-11 performance from the free throw line.
The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team needed free throws at the end of the game to earn the 64-61 victory over the Ball State Cardinals on Tuesday night in Muncie.
