A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family of a 28-year-old Cheyenne man who died from injuries he suffered Tuesday night in a suspected DUI crash.

A driver who was rear-ended by a speeding car in east Cheyenne Tuesday night has died, according to police.

Two drivers were taken to the hospital after a rear-end collision in east Cheyenne Tuesday night, police said Wednesday.

But the overall number of people hospitalized with the virus at CRMC has declined markedly from about a month ago when 57 people were hospitalized with the coronavirus.

The latest numbers also continued a trend of a large majority--but not all--of the COVID patients at CRMC being people who were not fully vaccinated against the virus.

Chapman said federal statistics show that people who are vaccinated are ten times less likely to die or become seriously ill from the virus, and five times less likely to become infected at all.

A mask requirement is also in effect for all Cheyenne Regional Medical Center visitors.

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center reported having 52 people hospitalized with COVID-19 as of Monday [Sept. 13].
