The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning people about the possibility of severe storms today. Hazards with these storms Tuesday will be large hail and damaging downburst winds.

The post asked anyone with information about the tornado as well as a possible second tornado that may have touched down in that same area to contact them.

Scattered severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon across southeast Wyoming and western Nebraska with large hail and damaging winds possible.

Very large hail (possibly to baseballs), downburst winds to 70 mph and a few tornadoes are possible Wednesday afternoon through mid evening for the area.

Strong storms may be possible on Wednesday and Friday so be sure to check back for updates!

The watch takes effect Thursday afternoon and includes the communities of Cheyenne, Laramie, Torrington, Wheatland, Douglas and Casper.
