The Cameron Peak Fire is now at a Colorado record 164,140 acres, according to a Thursday morning (Oct. 15) official report. Containment remains at 56%.
Strong winds are fanning two Rocky Mountain wildfires and have prompted new evacuation orders as one of them nears communities outside Rocky Mountain National Park.
With the smoke engulfing much of Northern Colorado, there are now visible flames that can be seen from the Front Range. Instagram user @HighCountrySara has sent us photos of the flames seen from Johnson's Corner in Johnstown.
