CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — Eleven administrators and college deans resigned from the University of Wyoming after about the time former President Bob Sternberg took office a year ago.

Today, eight of those positions are staffed by interim leaders or are still vacant.

UW spokesman Chad Baldwin says a search is underway for an engineering dean, but the rest are in the planning stages and have no definite timeline.

Three other positions have been filled.

Many of the jobs became open during Sternberg's short stint as president. He resigned in November after less than five months on the job.

New President Dick McGinity says that his top priorities are to find a dean for the College of Engineering and Applied Science and a vice president for academic affairs.
