Laramie Resident Arrested For Strangulation
On November 24 at 8:30 pm, Laramie Police Officers were called to East Palmer Drive for a domestic dispute report.
After an investigation, Mathew R. Smith, a 41-year-old Laramie resident, was arrested and charged with Strangulation of a Household Member.
Wyoming Statute 6-2-509 states a person is guilty of strangulation of a household member if he intentionally and knowingly or recklessly causes or attempts to cause bodily injury to a household member by impeding the normal breathing.
At this time, these charges are merely accusations and the Defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
