Wanted Cheyenne Transient Busted for Meth
A wanted Cheyenne transient is facing more charges after police caught him with a felony amount of methamphetamine.
According to arrest records, police stopped 31-year-old Gabriel Ray Martinez at the intersection of Fox Farm Road and South Greeley Highway at 9:48 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, for a registration violation.
Police say Martinez was found to be in possession of 3.9 grams of crystal methamphetamine, which he admitted was methamphetamine.
Martinez was also confirmed to have two warrants out of Laramie County -- one for failing to appear for court and the other for failing to pay.
Martinez was subsequently arrested and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and driving without proof of insurance.
Martinez's bond was set at $5,000 cash consecutive to his other cases and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for June 1 at 3 p.m.
