The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says severe storms including golf-ball size hail, are possible in southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle today (June 14).

The agency posted the following on its website: ''Heads up for Friday, many areas east of the Laramie Range could see severe thunderstorms during the afternoon into the evening hours. Thunderstorms are expected to develop as early as noontime, but the most coverage and intensity of the storms may hold off until after 3PM. Most favored areas for severe storms will be the southern Nebraska Panhandle, west to Cheyenne and Pine Bluffs. Large hail to golf ball size, downburst winds of 65-75 mph and heavy rain possibly leading to localized flash flooding are possible A few tornadoes can't be ruled out for the southern Nebraska Panhandle. Stay tuned Friday afternoon and evening!''
