Double Digit Sub-Zero Temperatures Expected In SE Wyoming
The exact details aren't yet clear, but forecasters are predicting a strong arctic front could bring temperatures in the double digits below zero and some snow to southeast Wyoming this weekend and early next week.
That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. The agency says Cheyenne could see temperatures of -10 degrees, while Laramie could hit -13.
The weather service posted the following on its website:
"Here's an early peek at the weather for the end of the week into the weekend! After more chilly and unsettled days Monday and Tuesday, we can look forward to a brief warm up for Wednesday and Thursday, which will bring more sunshine and mild temperatures to the area. The warmth will be short-lived though, as a strong arctic cold front is expected to arrive Friday, sending temperatures plummeting and also bringing a chance for widespread snowfall. While there is still some uncertainty regarding how much snow will fall and how cold we will get, widespread subzero temperatures overnight with daytime highs in the single digits to teens will be a good bet Saturday through Monday."
