Cheyenne and Laramie, along with Rawlins and several locations in the Nebraska Panhandle set new high temperature records for Sept. 29 on Sunday.

That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. The agency posted the following on its website:

''As the sun sets on yet another warm day across southeast Wyoming and western Nebraska, several daily maximum temperature records were broken again! All of our official climate sites broke their daily records, with Alliance beating an 86 year old record! However, Laramie and Scottsbluff were the winners, shattering their prior records by 5 degrees! Tomorrow is expected to be much closer to average for this time of year.''
