Attendees will gather at the cemetery office and proceed together to the Christmas Box Angel of Hope monument for the ceremony, followed by warm beverages and time to connect.''

Event Inspired By Paul Evans Book

The event is inspired by ''The Christmas Box" by Paul Evans. The book tells the story of a widow mourning the death of her child near an angel monument when she discovers "the first gift of Christmas.' In the book the child died on December 6, 1994, inspiring the date for the event.

The event is free and open to anyone who wants to attend. The entrance to the cemetery is located in the 2500 block of Seymour Avenue. People who attend are being asked to bring a candle, and may choose to bring a white rose to put at the base of the angel.
