The prep football season in the Cowboy State rolls along with Week 5. Games will be played from Thursday through Saturday, with the majority of the action on Friday. Every classification is in the middle of conference play. This week features six games in which ranked teams will face off against each other. Three of those are on Friday, and three more are on Saturday. No. 1 teams from Class 4A and 6-man are involved in two of the contests. Here is our Week 5 scoreboard. WyoPreps will post the scores below.

Class 1A 9-man

Final Score: #4 Rocky Mountain 77 Wyoming Indian 0 - Jolley had 3 rushing TDs in the 1st Qtr. Moss ran for a TD, threw a TD pass, and had an INT return TD. RM had four interception returns for touchdowns.

Final Score: Shoshoni 28 Wind River 22 - The Cougars out-gained the Wranglers 355-to-237. Rushing had 205 yards and 2 TDs on 42 carries for Wind River. Carson Kistling had a 91-yard TD catch and an 80+-yard TD run for Shoshoni.

Friday, Oct. 3

Class 4A

Final Score: #1 Sheridan 28 #4 Cheyenne Central 14 - 49 in a row and tie the longest home-winning streak in state history at 31 straight.
