Or, close to $5 million big. For $4.9 million, to be exact, you can own a bit of history, a bit of infamy, and some prime gameday activity. From the brothel turned dance parlor upstairs, the bullet-holed mirror in the main bar, and the football season Breakfast at the Buck tradition, the prime-time Laramie staple awaits new ownership.

Listing agent Shelley Peterson said they're hoping for a local buyer who values the history and importance of the saloon to Laramie. Peterson notified the UW Alumni Association of the sale in an effort to conserve local ownership and appreciation. The Buckhorn is known for its live music, street dancing, and themed parties and is one of the best downtown venues for spending Jubilee Days. It's not a legacy the listing agency or owners want to see changing anytime soon.

For UW game days, patrons have been enjoying pancakes and bloody Marys at the Buckhorn bright and early for decades in preparation for every home game.

The bar is listed on the National Historic Registry and is "Laramie's oldest standing and most historic bar," according to their website. To locals, "The Buck" is a stalwart symbol of Laramie and a remnant of the Wild West, now translated into Friday night form.
