LARAMIE -- This version of the Roaring Repeater Podcast is going to sound a tad different than what you've grown accustomed to hearing.

Why?

Because it's actually Ryan Thorburn's Pokescast.

Cody Tucker and Ryan Thorburn chopped it up for more than an hour Wednesday. The topics -- football and men's basketball. We put a wrap on the Cowboys' spring season, breakdown position groups, players and give you our thoughts on the season ahead.

Mountain West Media Days is just a couple short months away.

We also discussed Jeff Linder's first press conference in nearly two months. He highlighted his eight incoming recruits, which is fine and dandy, but there were a couple of elephants planted right in the corner of the room.

Like, what happened?

How did this program go from one that was supposed to play late into March to a nine-win team with 10 players, including the conference's preseason Player of the Year, Graham Ike, entering the NCAA Transfer Portal?

Linder's squad went from the Big Dance to an internal investigation in one year's time. He called it the "perfect storm." He's not wrong, but the big question is -- what did he learn from it? How will he make sure this never happens again?

We give you our thoughts.
