LIVE FILE: Wyoming Cowboys vs. San Diego State Aztecs
LARAMIE -- Good news?
Fullback Caleb Driskill is dressed today and could be in the lineup. The Gillette product hasn't played since the Idaho tilt in Week 2.
The bad news?
Quarterback Jayden Clemons is no longer with the program, per a UW spokesperson. Same can be said for wide receiver Devin Boddie Jr. The Vanderbilt transfer snagged five balls for 62 yards and a touchdown. Clemons didn't see the field this fall.
The reasoning given is "personal."
Clemons, a Utah product, started just one game during his three-plus seasons in Laramie. He did step in for Andrew Peasley during the 2022 Border War in Fort Collins, leading the Cowboys to a 14-13 victory over the hated Rams. Clemons connected on 7-of-11 throws for 90 yards and threw a game-winning 32-yard touchdown strike to Alex Brown.
Clemons also scored on the ground in that outing.
Wyoming (1-4, 1-0) and San Diego State (2-3, 1-0) are slated to kickoff at 1:30 p.m. today inside War Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

PREGAME:
* The weather is absolutely perfect on the high plains this afternoon. It's currently 70 degrees, sunny, and -- knock on wood -- there's no wind to speak of.
* Jay Sawvel joked, or so we thought, that Jake Wilson would be the third-string running back today behind starter Sam Scott and Jamari Ferrell. Turns out the 6-foot-5, 220-pound tight end has been taking reps this week during practice.
FIRST QUARTER:
* Cowboys going with a three-man front to start this one. Big 3rd-and7 coming up for the Aztecs' offense.
* SDSU hit with a chop block on 3rd-and-7. Sawvel says move them back.
* Pokes starting first drive of the afternoon from their own 15 after a holding call on the return
* This has been a sloppy flag-fest so far. Wyoming's first drive nets a very uninspiring minus-5 yards. Two no gains, and incomplete pass and a false start. UGLY
* Sabastian Harsh just wrecked Cooper in the backfield on a 3rd-and-1. Wow. Loss of two. That was impressive
* *TURNOVER ON DOWNS* SDSU receivers just ran into one another on the crossing route. Ball lands incomplete. Pokes will take over at their own 42.
* Evan Svoboda just telegraphed a pass to the sideline that was easily picked off by Chris Johnson. The QB made the TD-saving tackle at the 10. Huge mistake
* Wyoming's defense, led by Sabastian Harsh, is going to hold the visitors to a field goal here. The 22-yarder is good. SDSU 3 Wyoming 0 6:27/1Q
* *TOUCHDOWN* The ol' flea flicker. Jaylen Sargent all alone behind the defense. That was a 70-yard pitch and catch. That's the Utah product's first-career TD grab. Wyoming 7 SDSU 3 5:46/ 1Q
* Welcome back, DeVonne Harris. The sixth-year senior with a big TFL in the backfield.
* This undermanned Wyoming defense is playing its collective ass off in this one. This is what it is supposed to look like
* Svoboda isn't making the tackle this time. The junior is picked off on the out route yet again. This time Eric Butler got him. This time, Aztecs touchdown. Ouch. Right after a nice 20-yard completion to Gyllenborg, too. That's a 43-yard Pick Six SDSU 10 Wyoming 7 0:02/1Q
SECOND QUARTER:
* Jay Johnson goes back to the well right there and tries another flea flicker. Almost works, too. Stevenson couldn't hang on.
* Umm Wyoming with a successful fake punt. Big gainer by Jayden Williams, a 6'3", 290-pound defensive tackle. That not a short-yardage attempt either. It was 4th-and-7. Wow
* SDSU getting hit with a PI here in the end zone. Guy was all over Gyllenborg. That was on a 3rd-and-6 from the 8. Pokes in biz with a first and goal.
* *TOUCHDOWN* UW parlays that fake punt into a touchdown. Sam Scott breaks the plane from a yard out. Pokes back on top. That was a 12-play, 75-yard drive that took 5:54 off the clock Wyoming 14 SDSU 10. 9:08/ 2Q
* Cooper punches it in from four yards out. Big-time answer by San Diego State right there. That was a lightning-fast 8-play, 75-yard answer. SDSU 17 Wyoming 14 5:14/ 2Q
* Only two teams in the FBS have caused just one turnover this fall: Wyoming and Central Michigan. SDSU lost to the Chips two weeks ago in Mount Pleasant. This defense has to find a way to start getting some takeaways.
* Jake Davies, to this point, has been doing a solid job against the nation's leading sack producer Trey White. Not that time. Loss of six
* *TURNOVER* And there it is. Braden Siders slaps the ball out of O'Neil's hands and Connor Shay is johnny on the spot. Pokes ball at the SDSU 34.
* That goes down as an interception, the first of young Danny O'Neil's college career. Big-time play
* Evan Svoboda just fell down attempting to avoid the pass rush. That wasn't pretty at all. Fans are less than thrilled with the effort. Couldn't see if he was maybe tripped.
* John Hoyland misses a 50-yard field goal at the buzzer. SDSU 17 Wyoming 14 HALFTIME
THIRD QUARTER:
* SDSU with its sixth flag of the afternoon. This one a hold on 3rd-and-6. The Aztecs, right now, are the most-penalized team in the nation with 58.
* Really nice toss there from Svoboda to King for 16 on a 3rd-and-10.
* The call of a catch by TK King is under review. Appears he dragged a toe. We'll see
* It's a catch. Pokes ball at the SDSU 31.
* Thought Svoboda just hit King in the end zone on a 31-yard strike. It hit the turf. Needed a little more air under that one.
* *FIELD GOAL* John Hoyland ties this one up with a 42-yard boot. That was a 15-play, 50-yard drive that took 4:55 off the clock. Wyoming 17 SDSU 17 10:05/ 3Q
* What a punt. This Wyoming offense has 98 yards ahead of it.
* Alex Conn, a back-up guard behind Wes King who is getting his first-career start at Wyoming, is down on the play. He looks to be in some serious pain. Next man up is Quinn Grovesteen-Matchey, a 6'6", 305 redshirt frosh who has never played a snap.
* Marquez Cooper meet Sabastian Harsh ... again. Huge hit in the backfield
* Wyoming's D was humming on that drive. SDSU started at the 39. They are punting from the 29.
* We have a tie ball game with one quarter to go in Laramie. Wyoming 17 SDSU 17 END OF THIRD
FOURTH QUARTER:
* *TOUCHDOWN* Shot out of a F*cking cannon right there. Svoboda races to the end zone from 51 yards out on the first play of the fourth quarter. That was impressive. Wyoming 24 SDSU 17 14:50/4Q
* Rough sequence right there for Malique Singleton. The sophomore nickel gave up a 53-yard pass then followed that up with a 27-yard touchdown toss. Napier got him both times. We're tied again. That was a 4-play, 80-yard drive that took just 0:49. Wyoming 24 SDSU 24 13:54/ 4Q
* San Diego State will take over at its own 18-yard line here with 11:11 to go in regulation. We're tied at 24-24.
* Wyoming's secondary gives up its third consecutive long ball. Tyrecus Davis on the coverage that time. That was a 41-yard pass play
* Jordan Bertagnole picks up his first sack of the season. It's erased. Davis called for a hold in the secondary.
* No Shae Suiaunoa on this drive. Saw him get up slowly on the previous possession. Read Sunn has been manning the middle LB spot
* Wyoming's defense stands tall. Forces the 23-yard FG attempt. It's good. SDSU 27 Wyoming 24 7:35/ 4Q
