Laramie is justifiably proud of their choices of great places to eat.  In the past few years, more and more choices have come into existence.  But, with the tough economic times, many families and individuals have had to take a close look at their disposable incomes.

The 2012 Laramie High School Rodeo is set for this weekend at the Hansen Livestock Arena, and your local high school cowboys are looking forward to putting on a great show. The members of the team invite everyone to all the action. Slack is slated for April 14th and 15th at 9 AM. Performance itself is set for Saturday night, April 14th beginning at 7 PM.

Singers, dancers, lights and lots and lots of action. That’s what visitors can expect when the high-energy performance group Cirque Dreams brings their exclusive stage production of Pop Goes the Rock to the Civic Center.

When the founders of the education system in America were putting together the standard school year, they left the Summer open to make sure that children living in rural America and living on farms and ranches would be available to help their families. Well, times have changed, but the schedule hasn’t.

The reconstruction of the intersection of 30th and Grand Avenue began bright and early on Monday.  As you probably noticed, there are detours in effect and The Wyoming Department of Transportation and the City of Laramie remind citizens they should plan for delays, especially during peak drive times.

There’s not much in this world more important than your kids and their education.  I’m pretty sure any parent would agree.  With the smell and feel of Spring in the air, I got to thinking about Summer, and that reminds me that another school year is about to come to a close before we know it.

One of the best things about summer in Laramie is the annual farmer’s market downtown. It’s a great way to enjoy the fresh air and to pick up some really great fresh produce for your table. But, everything and anything can be improved, and the farmer’s market is no exception.

Everyone knows that WyoTech is a vital part of the community and the economy here in Laramie. However, the school has a long history and more campuses across the country than most would expect.
