The 3A championship game featured Powell and Star Valley and it was great to see Powell's Ethan Asher on the field for the contest. He was severely injured in a vehicle accident before the season started and has been an inspiration to not only his team but his community as well. In, Asher has been supported by schools statewide and that's a real tribute to the citizens of Wyoming.

In terms of the game, Star Valley came in undefeated and dominated start to finish. R.J. Cazier had 117 yards rushing and a touchdown. Dean Shaw ran for 99 yards and a score. Chase Merrill caught 6 balls for 85 yards and a touchdown. Star Valley led 35-0 at the halftime intermission and never looked back en route to their 2nd consecutive state title. It was tough for the Panthers but they had a remarkable run through the postseason. Here are some highlights of that contest from War Memorial Stadium in Laramie.
