For the third time in the last month, Wyoming junior guard Liv Roberts has been chosen Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Roberts led the Cowgirls a victory in their only game last Wednesday, 70-48, over Fresno State. She scored a game-high 24 points and tied a career-best 12 rebounds. It marked her third double-double of the season. She went 9-of-15 (60 percent) from the field and 2-of-3 from three. Roberts also tied her career-high with four assists and added two steals without committing a foul in 35 minutes of action.

In conference action thus far, Roberts ranks in the top five of scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage, three-point field goal percentage and three-point field goals made. She’s averaging 21.3 points and nine rebounds per Mountain West game. Roberts leads the conference shooting from the field, 60 percent and beyond the arc, 80 percent. She’s also fifth in the MW at 2.7 made three’s per game.

Roberts won player of the week honors earlier this season, on Dec. 5 and Dec. 26, 2016.

Wyoming is off to an 11-3 start and 3-0 in the MW. They return to action Wednesday, Jan. 11 at Utah State. The game starts at 7 p.m.
