While Wyoming does have a competitive youth level and two Western States Hockey League Junior Hockey teams, it doesn't have a rich history of famous hockey players.

Hopefully that will change soon, though.

According to a list released from Fansided.com, Wyoming's best hockey player is Thayne Thrumbell.

Thrumbell grew up near Casper in Evansville, and a handful of NHL scouts are currently keeping a close eye on him.

The forward currently attends Daniel Webster College, playing hockey in New Hampshire. Before heading to the east coast, he spent time with the Junior Hockey League's Cheyenne Stampede.

While there he played 184 games, scored 92 goals, and collected 194 points.
