Wyoming Cowgirl volleyball looks to keep intact its perfect home record when they host Utah State and Boise State at the UniWyo Sports Complex.

Wyoming (12-6, 4-2) is off to its best start ever at home with a 9-0 record. They take on the Aggies Thursday at 6:30 p.m. before the Broncos visit Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Cowgirls are sitting in a tie for third place in the Mountain West, while Boise State (11-6, 3-3) is right behind in sixth place. Meanwhile, Utah State (3-14, 1-5) is tied for last place.

Coming off a couple of big wins over Colorado State and Air Force, UW is trying to keep things moving in the right direction.

Sophomore middle blocker and reigning MW Offensive Player of the Week Jackie McBride and head coach Chad Callihan looked ahead to the weekend and talked about how important their training time has been.

Cowgirl Soccer

Wyoming heads back on the road for a pair of matches this weekend in California.

The Cowgirls play at Fresno State (3-9-2, 2-3-1) Friday at 8 p.m., Mountain Time, while Sunday they are at San Jose State (6-5-2, 5-1) for a 1 p.m. start.

Wyoming (8-3-3, 3-2-1) is tied for third in the league standings. The Bulldogs are tied for eighth, while the Spartans are in second place.

Head coach Pete Cuadrado said in a release from the university, “This week our mission remains the same since we have opened conference play, and that is to gain two wins. We have some positive takeaways from our last two matches, and some areas we’ve been working to improve. If we can improve in front of goal and finish off a few more of our shots we will give ourselves a great chance to win. On the flip side, we need to remain focused defensively. Scoring from both the run of play and from set pieces will be very important, and the team embraces this as we head out this weekend. Overall, we need to keep moving forward and keep gaining momentum.”

Cowgirls Swimming and Diving

Fresh off a second place finish at the DU Relays last Saturday, the Wyoming Cowgirls will host their second dual of the season, when they face New Mexico State Friday at Corbett Pool.

UW won its first dual at Northern Colorado Sept. 20, 155-145. The Cowgirls host the Aggies with diving at 3:30 p.m. followed by swimming events at 5 p.m.
