Wyoming State Bank Awards Grants to Local Organizations
Yesterday in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, Wyoming State Bank held their first annual ”Giving from the Heart” event which awarded grants to over 60 different local organizations in the community. There were around 160 applications for funding and the bank was proud to award over 30% of the requests that they received. Grants were given anywhere in the range of $40 to $42,000.
Gary Crum, President & CEO of Wyoming State Bank, mentioned that in the past the bank has received requests all year long and traditionally as November and December rolled around they were unable to help very worthy causes because they were out of money. Therefore they decided to start the “Giving from the Heart” program and take applications throughout the year for this one special day of giving back. Wyoming State Bank plans to continue this program for many years to come as they continue to help the communities in which they do business. Gary Crum said that they are already excited about next year’s event and encourage people to come into the bank and start applying for the grants at any time.
