The Planning and Research section of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services reported on Tuesday that the state's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate went up from 3.9 percent in August to 4.1 percent in September.

The national jobless rate was 3.7 percent last month. Wyoming's September 2017 unemployment rate was also 4.1 percent.

The highest unemployment rates in Wyoming last month were found in Natrona and Campbell counties (both 4.5 percent).

The lowest unemployment rate in September was found in Teton County, at 2.2 percent. Crook County had the second lowest unemployment rate at 2.9 percent, followed by Goshen County at 3.0 percent.

Laramie County's jobless rate held steady at 3.7 percent between August and September, while Albany County unemployment dropped from 3.5 percent to 3.2 percent over that time.
