The Wyoming Cowboys are seeking their first outright conference championship since 1988. UW takes on San Diego State in the Mountain West title game Saturday.

The Cowboys are trying to move past a disappointing performance in their regular season finale at New Mexico last Saturday. Head coach Craig Bohl knows there’s a lot of wear and tear on a team, especially during week 14 of a season, but he believes they’ve got a chance.

Bohl also understands that in the midst of a season, it’s difficult to reflect on how special this turnaround it’s been for Wyoming. He also stressed the importance of the game being at home in Laramie.

The first meeting was two weeks ago, Nov. 19 in Laramie, where the Pokes won a thriller, 34-33, and upset then No. 24 San Diego State.

The rematch is Saturday at 5:45 p.m. and is being televised on ESPN. Tickets are still available.
