In 2 weeks track and field athletes will be competing outdoors, but until then, they will have one last indoor meet.

Cheyenne Central boys would win their first state title since 2012 and break Natrona's 3 year run as champs. The Indians won by 20 points, ahead of runner-up Laramie, who was 1 point better than Gillette.

Brody Smith of Cody set a new state record in the Boys 1600 meter run, with a time of 4 minutes 15.12 seconds. He beat the old record by 0.02 seconds.

Smith also set a new state record in the Boys 3200 meter run, with a time of 9 minutes 20.59 seconds.  He beat the old record by 10.18 seconds.

William Nolan of Cheyenne South set a new state record in the boys triple jump, with a distance of 48 feet 5.25 inches. He beat the old record by 1 foot 4.75 inches.

The Gillette girls would 5-peat as state champs, winning by 31 points ahead of runner-up Natrona. Laramie was 3rd.
