Some of the top teams in the coaches/media rankings have already faced some tough challenges, and there are still more challenges to come for all.

There's not much change in the new 4A rankings, but things are going to get interesting. #1 Thunder Basin will make a cross-state road trip this week to play at 3A #3 Lyman, and then visit #4 Star Valley. #2 Cheyenne East and #3 Cheyenne Central, will each play Scottsbluff, NE, ahead of next week's quadrant opening game vs. each other. #5 Campbell County will prepare for quadrant play by taking on teams from Rapid City, SD.

The top 4 teams in 3A got a good look at each other last week. #1 Douglas emerged unscathed. Despite losing to #3 Lyman, Buffalo retains the #2 ranking. As for the Lady Eagles, that win vs. the Lady Bison moved them up 1 spot. They will play 4A competition this weekend. Mountain View took a small tumble to #4 after losing to Rawlins last week. That outcome enabled the Lady Outlaws to crack the top 5.

Nothing changed in the new 2A rankings, and there's not much excitement on the schedule this week. Undefeated Wyoming Indian holds the top spot, followed by Pine Bluffs, Wright, Greybull and Big Horn. The Lady Chiefs and Lady Buffalos will compete in the Big Horn Basin Shootout Tournament this weekend.

The top 3 teams in 1A are unchanged from last week, while #4 and #5 will be decided this week. It's still Cokeville on top, followed by St. Stephens and Farson-Eden. #4 Rock River visits #5 Arvada-Clearmont as part of the Little 6 Invitational.
