All is mostly calm in the new coaches/media rankings heading into the Holiday break for most teams.

The top ranking in 4A has changed hands again. Cheyenne East moves back up, mostly because former #1, now #2 Campbell County didn't play last week. The Lady Camels will play during both weeks of the break. First at the Jerry Tarkanian Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada, and then host the Energy Classic Tournament. #1 East and #3 Kelly Walsh just played each other, with the Lady Thunderbirds winning, and now both will rest up before the Cheyenne Invitational during the first weekend of January. Thunder Basin is starting to get some attention and debuts at #4, while Evanston is 1 vote behind them at #5.

There was a little bit of change in the new 3A rankings. Undefeated Douglas and undefeated Lyman are still #1 and #2, while Buffalo and Powell hold steady at #3 and #4. Mountain View is the new ranked team at #5 this week. There will be a little bit of action during the break as the Lady Eagles will host 2A Wyoming Indian, while the Lady Bison travel to a tournament in Sidney, Nebraska.

After beating to #1's in as many weeks, there's a new #1 in the 2A rankings. Lusk has climbed to the top after winning their rematch vs. former #1, now #3 Greybull. Pine Bluffs takes the #2 spot by 1 vote ahead of the Lady Buffs. Sundance and Wyoming Indian share the #4 ranking, heading into the break.

6 teams are ranked in 1A, which means there's a tie for #5. Rock River is the lone east team with 5 others from the west. Undefeated Encampment is ranked #1, followed by Little Snake River, Cokeville and St. Stephens. The other #5 team is Farson-Eden.

Disclaimer: The rankings have no official say on post-season positioning, and are only to be used as a measuring stick on the regular season. Please don't read too much into the rankings.

Because of the Holiday Break, the next rankings won't come out until January 11, 2018.
