March Madness isn't far off, but for most of the season, it's been all over the coaches and media rankings.

The #1 ranking in 4A has been a game of musical chairs almost every week. Sheridan is now back on top, and the Broncs have some unfinished business to deal with this week. Three weeks ago, they lost by 15 at home vs. Campbell County. On Saturday, they visit enemy territory to close out the regular season, and the Camels have been removed from the top 5, after dropping their last 4 games. #2 Cheyenne East also has a score to settle, with unranked Cheyenne South this week. Evanston drops to #3, after picking up their first conference loss last week, but the Red Devils already have the west #1 seed for the regional tournament. Like all other teams in the East, #4 Cheyenne Central is jockeying for a better seed in the upcoming regional tournament. #5 Kelly Walsh is just 1 win away from securing the west #2 seed for the regional tournament. That would also give the defending champs and automatic bid to the state tournament, but they are going to have to get that 1 win on the road this weekend in Sweetwater County.

There's been some question as of late, on if the parity in 4A is starting to spill over into 3A. Taking a look at the rankings for the past few weeks...maybe. Buffalo is back on top at #1, while Rawlins is back up to #2. The season for the Outlaws got off to a good start, then they hit a few bumps, but appear to have recovered. Cody stays at #3. It looked like the Broncs were going to move up, after winning at former #1 Riverton, but that got neutralized, when they lost to Lander. Speaking of the Fremont County teams, Riverton drops to #4, and Lander is now in at #5, however the Wolverines recently got the better of their county rivals.

For 2A and 1A, these are the final rankings of the season.

There are no changes in the final 2A rankings of the season. It has been mostly dominated by the west. Defending champ Wind River keeps the #1 spot, followed by Pine Bluffs. Rocky Mountain, Wyoming Indian and Lovell stay put at #3, #4 and #5. West teams need to beware of history, because usually in the past, at least 1 ranked team stumbles at the regional tournament, and misses out on the state tournament.

It's Burlington and everyone else in the final 1A rankings. The 4-time defending champs are the unanimous #1 heading into the regional tournament. Farson-Eden maintains their #2 ranking, even though they lost their home finale last week. Kaycee continues to impress the voters, and move up to #3 heading into the regional tournament. The Buckaroos may be the favorite in the east, because they have been battle tested vs. West opponents. St. Stephens and Encampment occupy the last 2 spots. Like 2A, the 1A rankings are mostly dominated by the west, so don't be surprised if at least 1 ranked team slips up, and misses the state tournament.
