Five Wyoming players scored in double figures to push the Cowgirls past Nevada, 92-41, on Saturday in Laramie. The 92 points is the most scored by UW this season while the 41 points given up is the second lowest.

"I thought we played very well on both ends of the court," said Wyoming head coach Joe Legerski. "We executed the game plan that we had set up... Just an all around complete game by everyone that stepped on the floor, not just one or two people. We talk about team all the time and I truly believe 'Wyoming' is the important part of the jersey and my team believes that as well."

Every Cowgirl played at least 8 minutes in the game with 11 UW players scoring.

"What became important tonight was that we had the ability to play a number of players large amounts of minutes and we still wanted to execute what Wyoming does and at the level Wyoming does it," said Legerski. "To be able to win both halves by the margin that we did shows that we executed for 40 minutes and didn't play to the score."

Legerski was able to go to his bench fairly early in the game after his starting players built up a lead in the beginning minutes. UW held Nevada scoreless for the first 5:21 of the game, shooting to a 16-0 lead.

"You could say we were bitter from our last loss," said sophomore guard Kaitlyn Mileto after the game. "But we knew we had to come out as a team and come out strong and really stick it to them in the first four minutes to show them we're here to play today, so you either match our intensity or we're going to get the win."

Mileto led all scorers with 18 points. Kayla Woodward followed with 14 points and six boards while Ashley Sickles and Fallon Lewis each recorded 11 points. Chaundra Sewell also added 10 points. Lewis recorded her first double-double of her career with her 11 points and a career high 10 rebounds.

Wyoming (12-3, 1-1) shot 50 percent (36-72) from the field, 39.1 percent (9-23) from 3-point range and 91.7 percent (11-12) from the free throw line. They had 23 assists to 7 turnovers and grabbed 51 rebounds. The Wolf Pack (6-9, 1-1) shot 18-70 (.257) from the field and committed 12 turnovers.

The Cowgirls will continue conference play at home on Wednesday, Jan. 16th when they host Fresno State. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. in the Arena-Auditorium with coverage starting on KOWB at 6:30 p.m.
