With the arrival of warmer weather, motorists in Wyoming will soon start seeing more construction crews working on road projects across the state.

According to the Wyoming Roadwork Guide from WYDOT, the state Transportation Commission expects to award about $259 million in contracts for a variety of road and highway projects by September.

Over 120 projects are planned across the Cowboy State, ranging from resurfacing work to rockfall mitigation. Projects slated for southeast Wyoming include pavement and bridge resurfacing on 7 miles of Interstate 80 in the mile marker 341 area between Cheyenne and Laramie. That project is scheduled for completion by October of 2018.

Another I-80 project on the WYDOT schedule is a two-mile long pavement resurfacing and bridge replacement project planned in the area of mile marker 400 between Cheyenne and the Nebraska state line.

That project is scheduled for completion by August of 2018. Check out the WYDOT statewide construction map by clicking here.
