The National Weather Service is issuing a Winter Storm Watch for Southeast Wyoming including the communities of Cheyenne and Laramie.

The watch begins Tuesday evening and continues through Wednesday morning. A Blizzard Warning is also in place for Northern Colorado.

  • THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHEYENNE HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY MORNING.
  • * TIMING... LIGHT RAIN WILL QUICKLY CHANGE TO SNOW EARLY TUESDAY EVENING... WITH PERIODS OF MODERATE SNOWFALL POSSIBLE TUESDAY NIGHT. THE SNOW WILL DECREASE BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.
  • * TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS... 2 TO 5 INCHES.
  • * WINDS/VISIBILITY... NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY. VISIBILITIES MAY BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN A MILE IN BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.
