JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — The Bridger Teton National Forest reminds the public that winter range closures on the Jackson and Buffalo Ranger districts will remain in effect through the month of April.

Winter travel restrictions will remain in effect in some areas until July.

The U.S. Forest Service closes some areas to make sure that wildlife isn’t disturbed during times when female animals are pregnant and plants still haven’t started to green up.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department also prohibits the gathering of shed antlers from through April 30 on public lands west of the Continental Divide.
