It’s time for construction season in Laramie! As you might remember a few weeks back we talked about some of the major road construction projects taking place in town with the weather warming up. One of the most major closures this construction season starts today with the closure of the intersection at 30th Street & Grand Avenue.

The intersection will be closed to travel through June 15th, but access to the businesses should be able to remain open. The joint project between WYDOT and the City of Laramie will add turn lanes, bring the intersection up to ADA standards, upgrade the storm sewers and drainage, improve traffic signals and replace two water lines. During the construction WYDOT will have detours in place to route traffic around the intersection, but it will take longer to get across town on Grand Avenue and access surrounding businesses. We want to know, will this project be a major disruption to your daily routine or just a minor inconvenience while the intersection undergoes improvements.
