UW Brings Second City Improv, Many Laughs to Laramie

The comedy group that began careers for such celebrities as Tina Fey, Steve Carrell, Chris Farley, Dan Akroyd, Peter Boyle and Alan Arkin will be in Laramie next week.

Second City Improv Company will perform a free show at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, in the University of Wyoming Arts and Sciences auditorium.

The event is being sponsored by the Student Activities Council and SAC lead student programmer Anna Rader says "Second City has performed at UW the past few years and has always been a big hit."

Not only are they really funny, but their humor resonates really well with college students."

Second City has expanded its schools to include Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto since its creation in 1959. It is currently the world's largest training center for improvisation acting and sketch comedy.
