With parking spaces expected to be limited near some commencement ceremony venues, the University of Wyoming will offer free shuttle service beginning one hour before scheduled events May 9-10.

Commencement shuttles run on seven- to 10-minute intervals.

UW Transit and Parking Services notes there are several bus stops near general parking areas, including the Express Shuttle lot on Willett Drive between 22nd and 30th streets; on the east side of War Memorial Stadium; the east side of the Wyoming Union; and other locations. UW will enforce only major parking violations May 9-10 and will enforce loading zone restrictions around the residence halls.

Three shuttles will run Friday, May 9. A shuttle service from the Ivinson parking lot to the College of Arts and Sciences auditorium will start at 11:30 a.m. for the Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing Convocation that is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. Individuals who do not require disability transportation should consider riding the Classroom Express from the 30th and Willett Express lot to the nursing convocation.

A shuttle service will begin at 2:30 p.m. from east of the Wyoming Union to the Hilton Garden Inn for the multicultural graduation ceremony scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Also, a shuttle service will start at 5:30 p.m. from the Ivinson parking lot to the Arts and Sciences auditorium for the Department of Psychology ceremony that is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Shuttle service will be provided Saturday, May 10, one hour before each of the major commencement ceremonies scheduled in the Arts and Sciences auditorium, Indoor Practice Facility and War Memorial Fieldhouse. Shuttle service will not end until all passengers have been returned to their vehicles following the ceremonies.
