The U.S. Forest Service is underway with an assessment of their West Side Snowy Range Travel Management project.

They began analyzing the current road/trail system in the 210,000 acres within the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in 2013. The USFS proposal was sent out last month. We're now in the middle of the 30-day comment period.

USFS Public Affairs Specialist Aaron Voos was a recent guest during 'Laramie Live on KOWB.' He discussed the specifics behind the project, as well as the recent high fire danger in southeast Wyoming and some of the restrictions in the Pole Mountain recreation area.

You can view the proposal here. You can also obtain a copy at the USFS District office in Laramie, located at 2468 Jackson Street.
