True West Magazine has named Wyoming’s Fort Bridger State Historic Site as the best preserved fort in their best of the west edition. The “10th annual Guide to Everything Western” listed 60 different categories in which sites were critiqued.

Lynda Newman-Byers is Superintendent for the Fort Bridger Historic Site and she says that tourists appreciate the authentic feel of the fort.

She added that the Fort Bridger State Historic Site recently upgraded exhibits to include a children’s play area, emigrant camp setting and a military display. There were also other Wyoming sites listed in the issue. The other Wyoming venues were the Klondike Ranch in Buffalo, WY that received the honor of best guest ranch, and the Warren Nagle Mansion Bed

The Fort Bridger State Historic Site in Southwestern Wyoming is located off I-80 at exit 34. For more information click here, or call Gary Schoene at (307) 777-7014.
