Seasons come and seasons go as the years pass by for head coaches of sports teams. None of those are lost upon Laramie High School head coach Tom Hudson.

In his 27th year at the helm of the Laramie Swimming program Hudson is already the winningest coach in its history. Last Friday he reached another milestone. This one was the 700-win plateau. It’s come about because of sustained success, as Hudson built his program to a level where victory is attained, not just expected.

The Laramie Lady Plainsmen won nine events and defeated Rock Springs 109-to-64 in a dual competition. That victory gave Hudson a 700-124-4 dual meet record, which he added to last Saturday with two more wins. In fact, the Laramie ladies are undefeated in dual competition this season.

Hudson was kind enough to chat with KOWB’s David Settle about reaching 700 wins, what it says about his program and so much more.

Now keep in mind that the dual meet record doesn’t even include wins at invites during a season, let alone conference or even state championships.

Congratulations Tom on continued success with 700 and counting. You can just add this to an already impressive and lengthy list of accomplishments.
