Federal judges sentenced three men this week for methamphetamine conspiracy crimes, according to a prepared statement from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.

U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced Bradley Lee McGirr, 46, on Wednesday for conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. McGirr was arrested in Gillette. He received 25 years imprisonment, to be followed by ten years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment.
Skavdahl also sentenced Michael Crain, 29, of Casper on Wednesday for conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. Crain was arrested in Wheatland. He received 10 years imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $500 fine and a $100 special assessment. Crain is the sixth of seven defendants to be sentenced in a case that sent one co-conspirator to prison for life.

On Monday, Chief U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal sentenced John Thomas Kady, 34, of Gillette for conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. He received 10 years imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment.

These cases were investigated by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces conducted by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. The program identifies, disrupts and dismantles the most serious drug trafficking, weapons trafficking, money laundering organizations, and those primarily responsible for the nation’s illegal drug supply.
